Life at Hopkins
The Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs is the disabilities services coordinator for the School of Nursing. Applicants for admission are not asked to divulge disabilities requiring accommodations.
Upon admission and prior to enrollment, students with a disability should provide a comprehensive evaluation of a specific disability from an appropriate qualified diagnostician that identifies the type of disability, describes the current level of functioning in an academic setting, and lists recommended accommodations.
Students are encouraged to contact the Assistant Dean at least two weeks prior to the start of the semester to ensure reasonable accommodations are provided in a timely manner.
The Johns Hopkins University Office of Student Disability Services serves as the central point of contact for information on physical and programmatic access, specific accommodations, resolution of complaints and problems, and identification of available services.
