“Cure sometimes, treat often, comfort always.” — Hippocrates

Shawna Mudd has dedicated her career to the health of children in both acute and primary care settings. Dr. Mudd’s unique expertise stems from years as a child abuse consultant and provider of specialized primary care to children of mothers in substance abuse treatment programs, which translates into valuable insight for her undergraduate and graduate courses. Her most recent work focuses on improving pain management and pain-related outcomes for children experiencing both acute and chronic pain.
