Gifted students found their own ways to JHSON. Their education and compassion will help them light the path for others.
The Master’s (Entry into Nursing) program at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing (JHSON) attracts bright, driven students from across the country and the world. Many have been successful in other endeavors. All have reached a crossroads, trusted in themselves, and chosen a sometimes more difficult but rewarding path toward east Baltimore.
Once here, they learn that a Hopkins Nursing education is about much more than a simple number. It’s about the people they will learn from, practice next to, and finally become. For the Spring 2025 issue of Johns Hopkins Nursing, we caught up with a cross-section of these students, hoping alumni, faculty, and practicing nurses everywhere will see in these student journeys what they still find within themselves: a burning passion to make a difference.
Perhaps students on the fence about next career steps will recognize a role model—or nine—and seek more information and inspiration at https://nursing.jhu.edu/about-us/.
