2017-2018 Scholarship Recipient Attends Reunion Weekend

How wonderful for the Freda Creutzburg Memorial Scholarship recipient, Elizabeth Kelman, to attend the Reunion Weekend as our guest. Liz expressed how grateful she was to be selected as the recipient for the second year. CHH Alumni enjoyed sharing stories of “the good old days” with Liz at Brunch. She has already earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont and hopes to spend her nursing career in public health. The scholarship award was $11,415.

Reunion Weekend a Huge Success

The 2017 Reunion Weekend was indeed a huge success! The Class of 1967, with the help of Carolyln Massimore Crutchfield, had nine members attend and be honored for their Golden Anniversary in Nursing. The ladies listened to a poem written in their honor and received a golden bag of gifts.

The special 75th Diamond Jubilee recognition for three 1942 alumni brought smiles to faces and tears to eyes. Anita Mae Cabello Shauck, Helen Elizabeth “Betty” Mason Seward and Borghild “Berkie” Johnson Bevans stood proudly with their families to receive their gold and diamond pendants. They were also serenaded in song by The Larks from the Junior League of Baltimore, which everyone enjoyed. Special thanks to Susan Blakeslee Phillips,’73 and Dee Plitt Donnelly, ’73 for their generous donation of the gifts for the 75th honorees.
