Jonas Scholars Chosen from Hopkins

More doctorally-prepared nurses are needed everywhere, even in the classroom.

As faculty shortages remain a challenge and as health care demands more nurses who can practice and teach at higher levels, the Jonas Center for Nursing Excellence, through its Jonas Nurse Scholar Program, has maintained its support of future nurses who can fulfill these needs.

Students from across the country who are committed to growing the faculty role, both in clinical and classroom settings, are chosen to receive financial support in addition to leadership, development, and networking opportunities. The program also supports nurses who are focused on veterans’ care.

From the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, 12 students were selected to participate in this important initiative. Congratulations to the 2016-2018 Jonas Scholars:
