Domestic Violence Exhibit Showcases Campbell’s Research

Jacquelyn Campbell, PhD, RN, is one of the prominent researchers featured in the National Library of Medicine’s new special display, traveling banner, and online exhibition Confronting Violence, Improving Women’s Lives.

The exhibit, being presented at 50 locations across the U.S. over the next four years, shares the stories and photographs of nurses from the late 20th century who were frontrunners in bringing domestic violence into the light as a substantial public health problem. Campbell’s development of the Danger Assessment tool and advocacy work have made her a called-upon leader for national efforts against violence. The online portion, intended to raise awareness, will document domestic violence reform and include educational resources.
