Alumni Update

Greetings from Baltimore to all JHN alumni!

Alumni Weekend was an amazing time, celebrating, reminiscing, and renewing friendships. It was such a pleasure to celebrate with the 50th Reunion Class of ’65! On Thursday, September 24, nearly 150 of us gathered at Bond Street Social for an evening of cocktails, catching up with friends, meeting students, and visiting with the dean. Friday, we gathered for hospital and archive tours and listened to an insightful presentation on ethics in everyday practice with Dr. Cynda Rushton. Saturday morning, we held the annual business meeting and luncheon attended by100 alumni, where Patricia Morton, BSN ’77, was recognized for receiving the Distinguished Alumna Award. Saturday evening, we celebrated the outstanding work of our JHH nurses, SON students, and preceptors at An Evening with the Stars. Many thanks to the Alumni Weekend planning committee, our students, and the development office for all the planning and a wonderful time had by all!

Fall has arrived! We are joyfully celebrating our alumni and students and looking forward to a number of events. The student mentorship program is well underway and alumni-student panels are being scheduled. The JHNAA Board is committed to keeping alumni connected, so please let us know if you are interested in either of these activities or participating in a networking event in your local area.

Thank you to the current officers and members of the JHNAA Board for signing on for the upcoming year. We welcome your thoughts and ideas, so please don’t hesitate to be in touch.NAA Board of Directors 2015-2016
