Fifty-Five Years & Still Going Strong

p50_CHH1952 — Gaynel 'Mickey' Buterbaugh writes that she and her classmates of 1952 wish to thank the JHNAA for hosting their 55th reunion and making them feel so at home. Class members gathered from MD, VA, PA, and GA. Six members of the class were pleasantly surprised to find that they had attended high school together in York, PA with a 1952 Hopkins alumna! Our Presence at the SON

p50_47-alumnae — Homecoming 2007 was wonderful! Forty-seven CHH alumni, representing classes from 1942 to 1976, gathered to enjoy the festivities. It was especially exciting to see 13 members of the Class of 1952 celebrate their 55th reunion, five members of the Class of 1967 celebrate their 40th and four members of the class of 1957 celebrate their Golden 50th anniversary. The "Golden Girls" were quickly recognizable with their Gold beads, a token also given to the 50 year Jubilarians from Johns Hopkins.

The CHH Cap can be obtained from Kay’s Caps by requesting School #33. The cost is $11.00 for each cap plus $6.50 shipping and handling for 1-5 caps. Caps are available in size medium or large. Exact replicas of the CHH Pin in 14K gold can be obtained from Fino Jewelers for $250.

And now, Fino Jewelers is also able to reproduce the CHH school ring. (Thanks to Susan Riddleberger ’73 for lending her class ring to be photographed, weighed, and measured for replication!) The ring has an oval shape with the CHH dome in the center and the words ‘Church Home and Hospital School of Nursing’ encircled along the edge.
