Each day, thousands of Baltimore City residents flock to the Northeast Market to grab a meal. But on May 7, they were able to get a whole lot more: blood pressure and glucose levels checks, HIV tests, flu vaccines, and vital information about diabetes, nutrition, injury prevention, and child safety. The inaugural Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing Health and Wellness Fair—organized in partnership with Johns Hopkins SOURCE (Student Outreach and Resource Center) and the Baltimore City Health Department—brought together Hopkins nurses, students, and volunteers from more than 10 organizations to improve Health in East Baltimore.
