Second Semester? Let’s roll!

Second Semester? Let’s roll!

Vacation has come
to an unfortunate end.
Time to learn and grow.

As thrilling as it was to have 6+ weeks off between last semester and this one, I’ve gotta say, I’m excited to get back to work and continue on my nursing journey. It was a productive, relaxing break, and I got to do a good bit of traveling, meeting a few Hopkins alumni along the way. I went to London to visit some friends, and in between a trip to Stonehenge and attending Mass at Westminster Abbey, I was able to meet with two Hopkins-trained nurses who are currently working in London. They gave me some great advice about how to prepare myself for a career in international work and they pointed me towards a couple of different non-profits that I should consider working for in the future.

Time away from the Hopkins bubble did me a world of good. I’m back in Baltimore refreshed, refocused, and ready to attack this new semester with a gusto. I spent a fair amount of time reflecting on the first semester, and I’ve identified numerous ways that I can improve, both professionally and academically. I’m looking forward to classes starting next week, and I can’t wait to see what adventures are in store for me and the rest of my classmates.
