Dean’s Alumni Awards
Nominations are now open for the Dean’s Alumni Awards. The awards recognize alumni who have distinguished themselves in one of the categories listed below. Nominations for the 2025 School of Nursing Dean’s Alumni Awards must be received by February 14. A nominations committee comprised of alumni, faculty and administrators will make final award decisions. Awards will be presented at the Alumni Weekend Brunch on Saturday, April 5.
AWARD CATEGORIES
Outstanding Nurse Researcher
Honoring an alumna/us whose research, professional achievements and cumulative contributions have brought personal distinction, enhanced the profession, improved the welfare of the general public and brought honor and prestige to his or her field.
Outstanding Nurse Educator
Honoring an alumna/us who demonstrates excellence and innovation in the teaching of nursing.
Outstanding Policy Influencer
Honoring an alumna/us whose policy and advocacy accomplishments at the local, regional, national, or international level have made a significant impact in their field or whose policy and advocacy work has improved the health of individuals, communities or populations; demonstrates how nurse leaders are providing outstanding contributions to health policy issues.
