Designed for busy working professionals and students, the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health’s Winter Institute allows you to complete credit or noncredit courses in a short period of time.
These courses offer the convenience of a condensed schedule as well as flexibility of location, with most available online and some on campus.
Choose from courses focused on a wide range of topics and taught by our world-renowned faculty. Winter Institute courses cover several public health disciplines including biostatistics, epidemiology, international health, environmental health sciences, molecular microbiology and immunology, health policy and management, reproductive health, and more.
Courses range from one day to two weeks in length during January Intersession, from Thursday, Jan. 2, to Friday, Jan. 17.
JHU employees may benefit from tuition remission.

The next installment of the Leading Change: Perspectives from Outside of Medicine series welcomes Jenny Abramson, founder and managing partner of Rethink Impact, at 5 pm on Thursday, December 5, via Zoom. The goal of the conversation series, from Elliot K. Fishman, MD, at the JHU School of Medicine, is to seek ways to improve “the patient experience” at Johns Hopkins by learning from experts in other fields and disciplines. Rethink Impact is a venture capital fund investing in tech companies led by female CEOs and tackling challenges in health care, education, the environment, and fintech. A Q&A session will follow the lecture.
