Data Science and AI Institute Summer 2026 Opportunities for Students and Faculty
The Data Science and AI Institute is excited to announce two new opportunities for summer 2026.
Call for Student Intern Applicants
DSAI invites Johns Hopkins undergraduate (rising juniors or seniors) and graduate students to apply for its summer internship program, a 10-week immersive experience designed to connect students with cutting-edge research projects across Johns Hopkins. Selected interns will join faculty-led projects that apply data science and AI methods to meaningful, applied research. Students will also be advised and mentored by faculty and DSAI research software engineers. This program offers an excellent opportunity to deepen technical skills, gain hands-on research experience, and collaborate with faculty, software engineers, and peers in a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment.
DSAI invites Johns Hopkins faculty to submit project proposals for participation in the summer internship program. This opportunity is open to all Johns Hopkins faculty and clinicians. Faculty research projects will benefit from dedicated student support, as well as technical guidance and infrastructure provided by DSAI. We encourage faculty from all disciplines to take advantage of this opportunity to advance impactful work, collaborate across the institution, and mentor the next generation of data science and AI leaders at Johns Hopkins.
