As part of their orientation, the incoming students at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing will be participating in a White Coat Ceremony as part of a national ground-breaking pilot program this fall. The purpose of the cloaking ceremony is to instill a commitment to providing compassionate care among future health professionals entering nursing schools. New Multi-Funder Initiative Aims to Help Reach Institute of Medicine Goal to Double the Number of Nurses with Doctorates

The Johns Hopkins School of Nursing is one of only 14 schools of nursing nationwide to be among the first to receive a grant from a new Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) program to increase the number of nurses holding PhDs.
