The Jewish Student Nursing Association is setting up a space where people can make their own Chanukiot for Chanukkah. Come get into the holiday spirit by either making a Chanukiah for yourself or just hanging out and eating some festive doughnuts! 

Join us for a Diversity Dimensions Experience focused on on the first generation student experience from faculty and students across our nursing programs. Each month will highlight a different focus on the diverse and unique population of our students and applicants and the potential impact on the profession of nursing. Registration is required.

Twitter continues to grow as a powerful communications mechanism for health scientists and policy makers alike. Dealing with the ongoing misinformation crisis — and those who fuel it — can be a challenge for anyone in the health sciences who uses Twitter. Join us for a conversation with Dr. Joshua Sharfstein about the promises and pitfalls of using Twitter for health science communication.

The webinar is free and open to doctoral and graduate students, faculty, and others in the Johns Hopkins community.

Joshua Sharfstein, MD

Dr. Sharfstein is Vice Dean for Public Health Practice and Community Engagement, director of the Bloomberg American Health Initiative, and Professor of the Practice in Health Policy and Management. Previously, he served as the Secretary of the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, the Principal Deputy Commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, as Commissioner of Health for Baltimore City, and as health policy advisor for Congressman Henry A. Waxman. He is an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine and the National Academy of Public Administration.
