Henrietta Lacks Memorial Award Time: All Day Locations: None Details:
The Henrietta Lacks Memorial Award was established in honor of former Turner Station resident and Johns Hopkins cancer patient Henrietta Lacks, whose cells helped make possible ground-breaking advances in medical research. The Johns Hopkins Urban Health Institute (UHI) offers this $15,000 award to Baltimore City community-based programs working in partnership with Johns Hopkins faculty, students, or staff to highlight the importance of community-university collaborations, recognize the accomplishments which can be achieved by such partnerships, and continue to support the efforts of the partnership.
Nominations are due by October 11, 2021 at 5:00 pm.

Chat Session for MSN Entry into Nursing questions Time: 3:00pm - 4:00pm Locations: Online Details: The online chat is a great way to ask any questions you may have, or see other questions being asked that you may not have thought to ask yourself. An abundance of information is discussed and we hope you will join us. Be sure your computer has Java properly installed and enabled, and your pop up blocker is turned off in order to successfully log into the chat. Tour and Information Session Time: 3:00pm - 4:30pm Locations: 525 North Wolfe Street, Baltimore MD Details: Join a small group of prospective students for an in-person information session highlighting academic programs and opportunities available at JHUSON.
Due to COVID restriction, no more than 40 people can attend this event and maximum of 1 guest only in addition to prospective student is permitted. Masking required. If you are experiencing flu- like or COVID symptoms, please do not come to campus and call or email about rescheduling your visit. The information session, led by an admissions officer, will be followed by a walking tour of our new nursing building.
