      Join Men in Nursing in a conversation with nurse leader and board member of the Johns Hopkins Nursing Alumni Association, Reginald Bannerman on April 10, 2019. Men in Nursing will host a conversation and Q & A session in room 140 followed by a reception in the Carpenter Room.  Refreshments will be provided.

      Reginald Bannerman, RN, AAS, BSN, MSN, MBA is the Director of Nursing and Service, Psychiatry at Children’s National Health System. Reginald Bannerman has 29 years of progressive experience in the Healthcare field and about 24 years a professional Registered Nurse in various roles. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree at the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing (JHUSON) in 1997 in Baltimore, MD and his MBA and MSN degree in May 2003.

       

      Reginald is also a member of the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing Alumni Association (JHNAA) as a Board Member in the role of Treasurer and also a member of the Johns Hopkins University-wide Alumni Association (JHUAA) serving as the co-chair for Student grants.

      UHS Wellness is sponsoring a free yoga class at the Cooley Center!  Our outdoor series is coming indoors for the winter at a new time. Join us on Wednesday evenings (7:15-8:15 pm) to flow through your week with certified yoga instructor and preventive medicine resident Margarita Ramos. You do not need to have a Cooley Center membership or buy class passes to participate. This class is free to all students and trainees! Mats are provided; no registration necessary.

      In celebration of Black Maternal Health Week, the Midwifery and Women’s Health Group, and Nurses for Sexual and Reproductive Health, are collaborating to screen The American Dream. Through the documentary women tell their own stories related to maternal health in the US. Perhaps it is time to listen.

      The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with local activists and birth workers about pursuing equity in reproductive health. Food will be provided.
