      The Webinar will cover a range of insights from digital health, particularly focusing on how nurses and clinicians can use data from wearables. There will be an overview of features and metrics using Fitbit as an example. In addition, there will be a review of some of the emerging research around wearables. Finally, the talk describes some of the challenges and opportunities in disseminating health information. There will be an "ask me anything" section for an open-ended discussion.
       
      Course Objectives:
      1.    Differentiate between wellness metrics and regulated features in a wearable device
      2.    Understand the appropriate clinical use of wellness metrics
      3.    Understand the appropriate clinical use of regulated features in a wearable device
      4.    Articulate the emotional and intellectual components in disseminating health information

In this webinar, members of the Genetics and Genomics in Nursing Community of Practice will educate nurses on Sickle Cell Disease and Cystic Fibrosis, and will review educational materials developed by the group that are freely available for the purpose of educating nursing students and nurses throughout Maryland.

      Celebrations for the 50th reunion classes - 1970, 1971, and 1972 - will take place Thursday, March 31 - Saturday, April 2, 2022. Festivities will include class gatherings, educational and social events. Jubilarians will be presented with their 50-year medallion at an alumni brunch on Saturday, April 2. Join us at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing as we celebrate this milestone with you!

    • Group Advising - Summer 23 Cohort Time: 12:00pm - 1:00pm Locations: Baltimore, MD Details:

      Students in the MSN: Entry into Nursing Program, Summer 2023 Cohort, will join their Academic Advisors to learn important information about the upcoming semester. Students in the Summer 23 cohort are required to attend either this in-person session or another one that is offered on the same date by zoom.

      Two sessions will be offered, allowing students to choose the one that best fits their schedule. This session is only for students currently in semester 1.

      Note: the time for this session is 12:15 - 1:15 pm.
