Dr. Jamison, Dalio Professor in Mood Disorders, Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and co-director of the Johns Hopkins Mood Disorders Center, will discuss how her experiences with bipolar illness have shaped her personal life and career. The Equal Access in Science and Medicine lecture series was established to feature the perspectives of scientists and clinicians with mental health conditions, disabilities, and chronic illnesses.       This interactive workshop with Dr. Krystal Lee, will guide participants in developing and delivering a clear, concise social justice oriented elevator pitch; the perfect way to introduce yourself to a potential employer.

      Your elevator pitch is a 30 – 40 second soundbite that briefly and memorably introduces you, highlights your uniqueness and benefits you can provide.

      By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

      1. Identify and evaluate the elements of a good elevator pitch
      2. Identify the audience for their pitch
      3. Write and practice delivering a 30 – 40 second elevator pitch
