Join us for a Zoom info session where we will answer your questions regarding our online prerequisite courses and provide a virtual tour of some of our classrooms. You'll get the chance to see how the courses are setup, what laboratory assignments might look like, and get a general feel for what it is like taking your prerequisite courses with us.

When you register for this event, you will receive an email prior to the event that will include the link to the Zoom info session conference room. This will require you to download Zoom in order to join.

The COMPASS journal club is an opportunity for SON students to critically evaluate recent articles from academic literature on subjects related to our mission and vision. The journal club aims to create awareness about current issues, research, opportunities, and initiatives.

Through journal club, we hope to foster opportunities for JHU students and faculty to dialogue about current issues in the field. We encourage participants to share their view regarding the appropriateness of the research design, statistical methods employed, and conclusions drawn from the findings.  The COMPASS center welcomes full time faculty and students to attend.

Students who have an active JHED ID can register for courses at https://sis.jhu.edu/sswf/.

First-time students need to submit a simple online application form at https://webapps.nursing.jhu.edu/prereqs/apply.aspx before they'll be able to register for coursework. Please note: You will not receive your JHED ID until 24-48 hours after the application has been submitted. With this in mind, you should plan to submit your application at least 48-72 hours in advance of the registration deadline.

With our Fall 2022 semester beginning on Tuesday, August 30th, course sites will be opening to registered students on Tuesday, August 23rd.

Registration will be open for the Fall 2022 courses until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31st, as space allows. With this in mind, new students must apply no later than 11:59 p.m. (ET) on August 29th, otherwise you will not be able to register for courses. You will receive your JHED ID 24-48 hours after the application has been submitted and you will need this ID to complete the registration process.

Our Fall 2022 semester for prerequisite courses begins on Tuesday, August 30th. All of our prerequisite courses are 11-weeks long, and are instructor-led. For more information about taking prerequisite courses with us, please visit our Prerequisite FAQ.

We have extended our initial registration period which originally ended on August 22nd. Registration will be open for the Fall 2022 courses until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31st, as space allows. Once all course sections have met capacity (either before or by this date), registration will close for that course.

With our semester beginning on Tuesday, August 30th, it is important to remember that the later you register, the less time you will have to review course materials and complete Module 1 assignments by the due date.
