Virtual Nursing Grand Rounds: Heterogeneity in Cardiovascular Disease Risk Factor Prevalence Among Ethnic Minority Populations in the United States. Time: 11:30am - 1:00pm Locations: Online Details:
Dr. Diana Baptiste, ’13, Dr. Binu Koirala, ’19 and PhD candidate Sabrina Elias will discuss psychosocial, environmental, and social factors impacting cardiovascular risk among ethnic minority groups living in the United States, implications for nursing care, and examine the cardiovascular risk factors among ethnic sub-groups.
The Virtual Nursing Grand Rounds will offer attendees one free contact hour for Nursing Continued Professional Development upon completion of a post-event quiz after each session, with the goal of fulfilling the JHSON’s mission of providing lifelong learning for health care professionals within the community.
