    • The Anti-Opression Series Time: 12:00pm - 1:20pm Location: JHU Bloomberg School of Public Health Details:

      What roles do the history and continuation of genocide, slavery, eugenics, and medical experimentation play in the lives of the communities we seek to serve? How can using an anti-oppressive lens help center the lived experiences and needs of marginalized populations to achieve equitable health access and better health outcomes? This fall LEAD [Liberate, Eradicate, Activate, to Dismantle] invites you to join  an interactive workshop series that provides students, faculty and staff with the  language and tools to incorporate anti-oppressive frameworks into public health practice.

      Workshop 1: Join us in the first of our anti-oppression series! In this workshop we will:

      • Build shared language to discuss and better understand anti-oppressive frameworks;
      • Critically reflect on the ways in which our personal intersecting identities affect our lived experiences and public health practice

      Offered on September 13 & 15 in room W3008 from 12:00PM-1:20PM; lunch will be provided
