      A recurring meeting for Assistant Professors in the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. Dr. Cheryl Dennison Himmelfarb, Associate Dean for Research and the Office for Science and Innovation (OSI) will host recurring, monthly meetings to provide opportunities for junior faculty to come together as a group to share resources and discuss various topics.

      The SON Mental Health Grad Network and Student Affairs invite you to “Whine & Wine,” a happy hour to let go of some of our stress and talk to fellow students about how we are managing to have work/life balance, self-care, deal with imposter syndrome, access mental health services, get out into Baltimore and more!       School of Nursing Student Senate Representative Meeting, all senators and representatives  are required to attend.  Members of the student body are welcome to observe; and per constitution have the option to offer suggestions, feedback, and express grievances after all other senate business has been completed.  Open Office Hours are held every Wednesday that classes are in session as a less formal way for students to connect with their representatives.

    • GIG presents: "Age of Champions" Time: 5:00pm - 7:00pm Locations: 525 North Wolfe Street, Baltimore MD Details: The geriatric interest group will be screening the documentary "Age of Champions" to spread awareness of the possibilities of aging successfully and challenge preconceived notions of what aging is and isn't.  Food will be provided, and we will wrap up with a debrief discussion that all attendees are welcome to join in on.

      Johns Hopkins School of Nursing is hosting an information session for prospective students interested in our Master’s Entry into Nursing program.  Master’s Entry into Nursing is a five-semester program specifically designed for non-nursing bachelor’s degree graduates and career changers. Unlike traditional Master’s Entry programs, our program emphasizes leadership and offers you the opportunity to explore areas of interest including global health, research, and quality and safety, in an interprofessional environment. Upon graduation, you will be prepared to take the nursing licensure exam (NCLEX) to become a licensed RN and enter the nursing workforce immediately.

      The session will include a presentation about our program, tours of our facility, and question and answer with faculty, current students, admissions staff, and student financial services. Registration required.

      Our Ramadan Iftar event was a success! Thanks for all who joined us in breaking fast! This week marks the end of the auspicious month of Ramadan, celebrated on Eid-al-Fitr across the world. On this day, Muslims end their fasting and celebrate, giving gifts to one another.

      The online chat is a great way to ask any questions you may have, or see other questions being asked that you may not have thought to ask yourself. An abundance of information is discussed and we hope you will join us.

      Dr. Hephzibah is a faculty of Health, Education, Medicine, and Social Care at the Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford, United Kingdom.  She will be presenting her mixed methods research comparing the expectations and experiences of Inquiry-Based Learning among nursing students in India and the United Kingdom.
