The COMPASS journal club is an opportunity for SON students to critically evaluate recent articles from academic literature on subjects related to our mission and vision. The journal club aims to create awareness about current issues, research, opportunities, and initiatives.
Through journal club, we hope to foster opportunities for JHU students and faculty to dialogue about current issues in the field. We encourage participants to share their view regarding the appropriateness of the research design, statistical methods employed, and conclusions drawn from the findings. The COMPASS center welcomes full time faculty and students to attend.

The Geographic Management of Cancer Health Disparities Program (GMaP) is an NCI initiative with the goal of contributing to the science of cancer health disparities by inspiring and developing the next generation of cancer researchers. GMaP offers many opportunities available to both faculty and students (including undergraduates), in the form of conferences, trainings, and funding. This nationwide initiative is made up of six regions, and the state of Maryland is located in Region 1 North. Group Advising - Summer 23 Cohort Time: 12:00pm - 1:00pm Locations: Baltimore, MD Details:
Students in the MSN: Entry into Nursing Program, Summer 2023 Cohort, will join their Academic Advisors to learn important information about the upcoming semester. Students in the Summer 23 cohort are required to attend either this in-person session or another one that is offered on the same date by zoom.
Two sessions will be offered, allowing students to choose the one that best fits their schedule. This session is only for students currently in semester 1.
Note: the time for this session is 12:15 - 1:15 pm.
