The Office for Science and Innovation (OSI) is pleased to announce that, in conjunction with Suzanne Ffolkes, VP of Communications at Research!America, we will be hosting a workshop focused on effective scientific communications. This interactive workshop will focus on ways to distill complex scientific information into short, but informative, narratives to engage a non-scientific audience. The workshop will engage participants in exercises including developing and critiquing sample "elevator pitches." Participants will exchange advice and best practices for how to communicate with policymakers, potential funders, media, and consumers. Lunch will be provided and the workshop will be recorded. Please RSVP to SON-Innovation@jhu.edu and we hope to see you soon!
