Men in Nursing Presents: Scott Newton, DNP, RN, MHA
Join JHSON Men in Nursing for a special event with nurse leader and DNP alum Dr. Scott Newton. Dr. Newton will discuss his path to nursing and current work with TeleTracking, Inc. followed by a Q & A session led by a current student. This session is now offered on Zoom - https://jhuson.zoom.us/j/286995313
Dr. Newton has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare—working as a paramedic, a nurse, an educator and a patient flow command center leader—he is a trusted adviser and thought leader in the areas of patient access, capacity management, emergency care, and disaster readiness.
Scott has deep knowledge of the healthcare system and understands that success is tied to high reliability, just-in-time responses, and responsible solutions—that it’s about getting it right the first time for patients and clinicians. He currently works for TeleTracking, Inc. as Executive Director of Clinical Operations, leading care model development across a variety of national and international health systems.
A graduate of the Johns Hopkins University, Doctor of Nursing Practice program, Scott built a hospital command center as an output of his work while at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He believes that as healthcare continues to evolve, centralized care coordination will play an even more prominent role across the care continuum ensuring no patient waits for the care they need.
