Vaccines in an Age of Conflict, Global Instability, Climate Change, and Antiscience with Dr. Peter Hotez
The Hopkins Medicine Distinguished Speakers Series is excited to be hosting Peter Hotez, M.D., Ph.D. for an evening lecture titled “Vaccines in an Age of Conflict, Global Instability, Climate Change, and Antiscience.” The event will begin at 6pm on Thursday, Jan. 30 in the Armstrong Medical Education Building first floor lecture hall. Doors will open at 5.30pm with refreshments available. There will be an opportunity for Q&A following Dr. Hotez’s talk. Please RSVP here if you are interested in attending.
Dr. Hotez is one of the world’s leading experts in the field of vaccine development for neglected tropical diseases. A physician-scientist by training, he is the author of more than 500 original research papers, and currently serves as Dean and professor at the National School of Tropical Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. He served as a Science Envoy for the U.S. State Department under the Obama administration, and has more recently become a leading voice from the scientific community engaging with vaccine skeptics.
We hope that you will be able to join us for an evening of conversation and learning about issues relevant to the role of vaccines in today’s world.
