OSI Biostatistics and Methods Core Workshop: Structural Equation Modeling with Nancy Perrin
The Office for Science and Innovation (OSI) is pleased to announce that Dr. Nancy Perrin, Director of the Biostatistics and Methods Core in the OSI, will be hosting a workshop focused on structural equation modeling.
Structural equation modeling tests complex models incorporating a measurement model while simultaneously testing relationships where a given variable can be specified as both independent and dependent in the model. Below is an example of such a model that predicts birth weight from mother’s characteristics.
This seminar will provide an overview of when structural equation modeling is useful, including the special cases of path analysis, mediator models, and confirmatory factor analysis. Topics will include evaluation of goodness-of-fit, sample size issues, and model modification.
This workshop will be recorded and livestreamed –
