Ms. Peterson completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at the University of Colorado. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing, and Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees at Shenandoah University. Ms. Peterson is a Family Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Nurse Specialist with experience in psychiatric inpatient, outpatient, residential, community, and home health settings. Her research interests include prevention and interventions for intimate partner violence and mental illness.
