Biography

Kelli DePriest’s career goals are to advance our understanding of how neighborhood-level factors influence children’s health as well as to develop and implement interventions that achieve health equity for children and families living in poverty. After serving three years in the Peace Corps, DePriest earned a bachelor's degree at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing and worked four years in the PICU at Johns Hopkins Hospital before joining the SON's PhD program. Supported by an NINR pre-doctoral fellowship, her dissertation research examines associations among neighborhood green space, neighborhood violence, and children's asthma control in Baltimore.
