Kathryn Ciccolini is an adult gerontology acute care nurse practitioner specializing in hematology/oncology, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, and supportive oncodermatology. She currently works in outpatient Bone Marrow Transplant as well as therapeutic infusion suite. She is nationally certified in dermatology and oncology nursing, an international speaker in supportive oncology, a published author and a nursing journal and scholarship reviewer. Kathryn is actively involved in many national and international professional nursing organizations contributing to both fields with her unique experience.

Kathryn is currently enrolled in the executive Doctor of Nursing practice program at Johns Hopkins University where she is critically assessing the use of telephone triage models in oncology and will be conducting a quality improvement program to improve oncology nursing triage at Mount Sinai Hospital.

I give many thanks to those who have mentored me and genuinely supported my growth throughout this process including my DNP organizational mentor Dr. Gary Shelton, my academic advisor Dr. Valarie Cotter and my faculty advisor Dr Bryan Hansen. Without them, I would not be able to pursue my dream of being a doctorally-prepared nurse practitioner.
