Karen Trister Grace earned a BA in sociology from Barnard College and a BSN and MSN from the University of Pennsylvania. She has been a practicing midwife since 2000 and a midwifery educator since 2008. She is an adjunct instructor at Georgetown University, School of Nursing & Health Studies, and is in clinical practice at Mary's Center in Maryland and Washington, DC. Her research interests include reproductive coercion and autonomy, unintended pregnancy, gender-based violence, and health disparities.

Dissertation Focus

Exploring correlates of reproductive coercion in low-income Latina women.
