Pressure ulcer prevention in the intensive care units
- Coordinator of Nursing Quality, the Johns Hopkins Hospital—coordinates nursing programs, projects, and initiatives to improve nurse-sensitive patient outcomes like pressure ulcers and falls.
- Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality Fellow—developed a post-fall huddle tool used by JHH Department of Medicine.
- Chief Nursing Officer, St. Mary’s Home of Disabled Children—senior leader responsible for clinical nursing operations for an intermediate-care facility for 88 children and young adults with severe disabilities. Quality initiatives reduced hospitalization days and infection rates, and led regulatory compliance to Medicaid requirements leading to no nursing department citations for three consecutive years.
