  • Guest Lecture: Dr. Naomi (Dinky) Levitt

  • The Office for Science and Innovation is pleased to host Dr. Naomi (Dinky) Levitt, Professor and Head of Diabetic Medicine and Endocrinology at the University of Cape Town and Director of the Chronic Disease Initiative for Africa (CDIA). Dr. Levitt will be speaking on the intersection between diabetes and chronic infectious diseases with a focus on the epidemiological intersection between diabetes, HIV, and TB, including mechanistic aspects, as well health system challenges. Dr. Levitt will be highlighting her own research data while discussing both the challenges and opportunities.

  • Kelly Gleason Final Dissertation
  • March 21
  •  Kelly Gleason a PhD candidate at SON, will present her dissertation titled "Role of Person and Environment Characteristics in Atrial Fibrillation Symptoms ." Her advisor is Dr. Cheryl Dennison-Himmelfarb, PhD, RN, ANP, FAAN, FAHA, FPCNA. The public portion will be held on March 21, 2018 in room 10.
