If you are selected for Sites Providing ADS Usual Care

Family caregivers of persons with dementia enrolled in Adult Day Service may be eligible to participate in this new and exciting nation-wide research study

  • What is the purpose of this study?
    We are collaborating with Johns Hopkins University and the University of Minnesota to understand how Adult Day Services effect family caregivers of persons with dementia.
  • What does the study involve?
    4 telephone interviews (Baseline, 3-months, 6-months & 12-months) with research study staff from Johns Hopkins University and University of Minnesota
    Each interview is approximately 45 minutes and is scheduled at a time convenient for you
  • Will this cost me anything?
    Participation is FREE and voluntary
  • How will I benefit?

    You will be paid $15 for each completed interview (up to $60 total)
    At the conclusion of the 12-month interview, you will receive educational materials that may be helpful to you

If you are selected for Sites Providing ADS or ADS plus

You may be eligible to participate in an exciting, national research study evaluating a new program, Adult Day Plus, provided by the Adult Day Services in collaboration with Johns Hopkins University and the University of Minnesota Adult Day Plus (ADS Plus) is a new program delivered by a member of the Adult Day Service to help families of persons with dementia manage daily care challenges and take care of yourself.

  • What does the study involve?
    4 telephone interviews (baseline, 3-months, 6-months & 12-months) with research study staff. Each interview will take approximately 45 minutes at a time convenient to you
    Following the first telephone interview, you will meet with a staff member at the Adult Day Service trained in ADS Plus to discuss your care concerns and develop a care plan
    Meet up to 8 times the first 3 months and then once a month with the staff member to reassess care concerns and address new care challenges
  • Will this cost me anything?
    Participation is FREE and voluntary
  • How will I benefit?

    You will be paid $15 for each completed interview (up to $60 total)
    You will receive on-going support and information based on your care concerns
