The Johns Hopkins School of Nursing Health Equity Faculty Interest Group is a collective group faculty committed to promoting health equity and dismantling unjust systems that disproportionately affect marginalized local and global communities. In accordance with the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, we believe that health is a universal right and nurses have a mandate to build bridges across divides of difference and inequity. Thus, our research, practice, and teaching seek to address social determinants that lead to health inequities. We actively engage with a range of interdisciplinary partners such as community and governmental organizations, the Center for Community Innovation and Scholarship, students, and the Center for Innovative Care in Aging.
