AMERSA, founded in 1976, is a non-profit professional organization whose mission is to improve health and well-being through interdisciplinary leadership in substance use education, research, clinical care and policy.

The Marianne Marcus Award provides travel support and more for a Registered Nurse, who is a first-time AMERSA Conference attendee.  The applicant must be committed to clinical practice, research, policy development and/or education related to substance use disorders.  While not a requirement, previous awardees have been those with submitted abstract.
