Overview

Emma Mangano is a family psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner with more than 10 years of clinical experience. Dr. Mangano's areas of expertise include inpatient and emergency psychiatry, dual diagnosis, and geriatric behavioral health. Her clinical focus while working in the emergency department has been on the care of boarding patients and advocating for more timely admissions to the inpatient units. Her DNP QI project focused on improving the care of psychotic patients boarding in the ED. It is her goal to bring the passion she has for mental health, evidence-based practice, and teaching into her role as assistant professor.
