Overview

Sharon Hovland Allan is a board-certified clinical nurse specialist who focuses on the care of adult patients with cardiovascular disease. She has led many unit-based and hospital-wide initiatives to promote patient safety, improve patient outcomes, and control health care costs. She has extensive experience in heart-lung transplant, surgery, and hospital policy development. Dr. Allan has spoken nationally on best practices to reduce clinical alarm fatigue and implementation of effective alarm management strategies.
