Standardized Patient

The goal of the Simulation Center is to develop and improve the learner’s clinical abilities in order to promote safe patient care. Current and future health care professionals practice in a simulated environment honing their skills, refining techniques, learning team work, and learning valuable communication and interpersonal skills required in patient care situations. Standardized patients portrays the emotional and physical aspects of real patients or patient family members, for the instruction and assessment of clinical learners.
