Biography

Maisa Al Raban is a skilled registered nurse with 14 years of experience in Saudi Arabia working across a broad continuum of adult specialties in intensive care hospital settings. She currently serves as complex clinical nurse lead (clinical nurse educator). She earned a bachelor's degree in nursing science from King Faisal University in 2002 and a master's degree in 2012 from Queen Margaret University in Scotland. Her focus is implementation of evidence-based strategy to reduce central line associated blood stream infections (CLABSI) in the intensive care setting.

  • Participated in Hospital Survey of Patient Safety as a nursing champion.
  • Participated in the development of the first Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy workshop that serves the whole hospital.
  • An active member in the CLABSI team.
