Kelli DePriest’s career goals are to advance our understanding of how neighborhood-level factors influence children’s health as well as to develop and implement interventions that achieve health equity for children and families living in poverty. She earned her bachelor's degree in sociology/liberal arts at Colorado State University, served three years in the Peace Corps, then earned a BSN from the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. She worked four years in the PICU at Johns Hopkins Hospital and is currently a student in the SON's PhD program. Supported by an NINR pre-doctoral fellowship, her dissertation research examines associations among neighborhood greenspace, neighborhood violence, and children's asthma control in Baltimore.
