Biography

Dawn Luzetsky is Assistant Director for Pediatric Nursing at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. She is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the Children’s Center, leading the Patient and Family Centered Care program—facilitating concepts into practice, and supervising nurse managers, pediatric shift coordinators, a family care coordinator, and a parent adviser on staff. Luzetsky has worked for Johns Hopkins Medicine for 25 years.

Improving the primary care team’s practice in preparing and facilitating adolescents and young adults from pediatric primary care to adult primary care settings

Major Achievement(s)

  • Nurse leader in the New Clinical Building Transition Team—led Johns Hopkins Children’s Center, 205 beds and over 700 nursing staff, move to new hospital
  • Completed executive leadership course: "Transforming Health Systems into Accountable Care," Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, June 2015
